Nakapaghain na ng counter-affidavit sa Department of Justice (DOJ) ang ilan sa respondents sa limang kaso ng ghost at substandard flood control projects ng SYMS Construction Trading sa Bulacan.
Sa ikalawang preliminary investigation, sinabi ni DOJ Spokesperson Atty. Polo Martinez na humiling ang ilang mga respondent na bigyan sila ng extension para makapagsumite ng kontra-salaysay.
Matapos nito ay binigyan sila ng hanggang November 28 para makapagsumite ng counter-affidavit.
“Those who appeared, some of them asked for extensions of time. So, nag-file sila ng motion for extension of time and they were given until the end of this week only, November 28 to file their counter affidavits,” ani Martinez.
Kapag hindi sila nakapagsumite sa itinakdang panahon, ireresolba na ng panel of prosecutors ang kaso.
“This is a non-extendable period. Whether or not they do file on such day, we will then proceed to resolve the case based on the counter affidavits submitted or if none, edi wala, based on the complaint submitted by the NBI,” dagdag pa niya.
Dumating sa tanggapan ng DOJ para sa ikalawang preliminary investigation sina dating DPWH Engineers na sina Henry Alcantara, Brice Hernandez at Jaypee Mendoza nitong Lunes, November 24.
Bago nito, umaga nang maghain ng counter-affidavit si Sally Santos, ang may-ari ng SYMS Construction Trading sa pamamagitan ng kanyang counsel.
Ito ay para sa mga kasong malversation of public funds, anti-graft at perjury. | via Alegria Galimba
