His family confirmed his death in a statement, saying his death was peaceful and surrounded by his loved ones.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love,” said in a statement.
Just weeks prior to his death, Ozzy took the stage for a final performance at the “Back to the Beginning,” along with his bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

Moreover, during his time with the band, they produced several hits that defined rock music, pioneering what is known today as “heavy metal.”
Some of Ozzy’s hit songs with the band includes Paranoid, War Pigs, Children of the Grave, Iron Man, and many other songs that defined the genre.
More notably, he once bit off a bat’s head during one of his live concerts.
