Nagpadala ng aabot sa 2,000 family food packs para sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo sa bayan ng Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro ang Department of Social Welfare and Development para sa patuloy na pagbangon ng mga residente sa lugar.
Ayon kay DSWD MIMAROPA Regional Director Reynaldo Reynoso, nauna nang magpadala ang ahensiya ng 3,500 kahon ng FFPs matapos humingi ng tulong si Mamburao Mayor Glicerio “EK” Almero III.
Sa 3500 kahon na ito, 3,220 kahon na ang matagumpay na naipadala ng ahensya habang patuloy na iniintay ang 280 kahon na natitira at ang karagdagang 2,000 pang kahon ng FFPs.
Nakatakdang kunin at ihatid ang natitirang tulong sa mga residente ngayong Lunes, July 28.
“Yes, Secretary, we are releasing an additional 2,000 FFPs for Mamburao as agreed with Mayor Almero. We are in constant coordination with the local government of Mamburao to ensure that no one is left behind in this critical time,” ani Reyboso.
Ayon sa ulat, 3,156 ang pamilyang apektado ng pagbaha dulot ng habagat sa bayan ng Mamburao, at umabot naman sa 30,000 pamilya ang naapektuhan sa buong probinsya ng Occidental Mindoro.
