A total of 1,288 individuals were arrested in Central Luzon in a span of 23 days, according to a report released by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) on Tuesday, July 15.
According to the report, out of the 1,288 arrested individuals, 675 of the apprehended were involved in drug-related crimes, with a total of ₱23,814,815.84 worth of shabu and ₱3,475,441.56 worth of marijuana seized in the arrests.
580 most wanted persons were also arrested in more than 3 weeks of continuous operations, with 73 people being a part of the top 10 most wanted persons and another 48 people being a part of most wanted persons.
Among the thousands arrested, 33 people were linked to firearm-related crimes, with more than hundreds of guns confiscated by the authority.
Moreover, PRO 3 Regional Director PBGen Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. vowed to protect the community harder.
