A Chinese individual was arrested, who was believed to be misrepresenting herself as a Filipino, was arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) along with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) this July 13.
Wang Xiujun, 43 years old, was said to use the alias Cassia Palma Poliquit, was seized by the authorities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
It was confirmed that Wang and Poliquit were the same person following the NBI dactyloscopy cross examination of records, stating that both persons have the same fingerprints.
After arriving on board from Kuala Lumpur to Manila, Wang was immediately arrested by the BI border control and intelligence unit (BCIU) officers, in which she was brought to the BI warden’s facility.
Currently, she is now awaiting deportation proceedings.
The BI compared her case to Alice Guo’s, in which both have been found to acquire a late-registered Philippine passport and birth certificate despite being a Chinese individual holding an investor’s visa. | via Florence Alfonso | Photo via BI
