Senator-Elect Tito Sotto III has reportedly met with thirteen senators.
In an interview – Sotto said he wants to ensure that the upper house is “Independent” and free from influence from the incumbent administration.
Sotto insisted that he wants to form a majority in the Senate that is not all members of the ruling party but also from other parties.
According to Senator-elect Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, they spoke one by one with the senators, both former and newly elected, regarding the promises they will make to the Senate if Sotto returns as Senate President.
Sotto became Senate President in the 18th Congress during the time of Former President Rodrigo Duterte.
