Sa ugnayan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at ng NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), nasabat ang mga shipments na naglalaman ng 16,150 ng shabu na may estimated standard value na ₱109,820,000 sa Paicargo Warehouse, Pasay City noong October 6.
Idineklara na e-commerce consolidated packages ang mga nasabing shipments mula Hanoi, Vietnam at ito’y nakitaan ng suspicious images nang dumaan ito sa x-ray screening. Pagtapos magsagawa ng 100 percent physical examination, tiyaka natuklasan ang 3 styrofoam boxes na naglalaman ng 26 packages ng ilegal na droga kasama ang mga pakete ng coffee powder.
Ang mga nakumpiskang ilegal na droga ay nai-turn over na sa PDEA para sa proper disposition at imbestigasyon.
Dalawang representatives naman ng consignee logistics company ang naaresto on-site sa paglabag sa Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Ang kasong ito ay lumalabag din sa mga kasong Republic Act No. 10863 (Customs Modernization and Tariff Act), particularly Section 1400 (Misdeclaration), Section 1401 (Unlawful Importation and Exportation), and Section 117 (Regulated Importation and Exportation). | via Kai Diamante
